Part of the Mamluk Ziegler collection, this 97 cm x 61 cm rectangular rug displays a complex geometric layout inspired by traditional Mamluk motifs. Hand-knotted from 100% hand spun wool, it has a thin, refined pile finished with neat fringe along the ends. The composition features an intricate central octagonal medallion framed by compartmentalised panels and star-like medallions. Earthy tan and beige tones form the textured foundation, richly layered with deep navy blue, terracotta red, sage green, and ochre accents.
Compact in proportion, this handmade accent piece works effectively in an entrance, a kitchen, or a powder room. Place it in front of a bathroom vanity, alongside a bedside table, or beneath a console table in a small hallway.
